The final installment of Electronic Tuesdays for the month of March went off with a bang as we welcome back Denver favorite, P0gman for a headlining performance hailing all the way from Wolverhampton! Internationally renowned for his bouncy, high-energy bass lines, P0gman is known to set off any crowd and on Tuesday night Cervantes’ Other Side was no exception! To only add to this already massive night in sound, Sub.mission resident Ind33p held it down on the primary support slot and Sektah closed out the night proper! Here’s the rewind!
The E-Tuesdays crowd flooded the narrow hall of Cervantes’ Other Side and made their way to the dance floor early in the night as the DJ battles kicked off at 8:00pm sharp. Selectors Raw Dawg, Fastlife, The Toddfatha, & GDLK took to the stage to make the most out of their 30 minute time slots to set the tone early in the night and show the audience and panel of judges what they’re made of. Each act demonstrated their unique skillsets and talents behind the decks and proved once again why it is important to make your way to the dance floor as soon as doors open. After a well fought battle to get the night started, ‘The Toddfatha’ beat out the competition to emerge as this week’s battle winner. A well-balanced combination of deeper dubstep sounds and some UK Grime resonated with the entire audience and reminded us why The Toddfatha is a fierce competitor in the DJ Battles. In case you haven’t noticed by now, Colorado undoubtedly has one of the most rich and profound local scenes in the nation and we are reminded of this every Tuesday night in the DJ Battles so make sure to come out early and show your support for all of your highly talented locals!

Following the DJ battles, it was now time for newly added Sub.mission resident Ind33p to take the stage and kick things up a notch. Marvin Hearn, better known as ‘Ind33p’ is a talent that has been making some serious waves throughout Colorado and his recent addition to the Sub.mission roster of resident DJ’s didn’t come as a surprise to many. His countless devotion to underground bass music as both a cutting edge DJ and a producer have solidified him as one the sickest talents from throughout the state and he shows no sign of slowing down. His set on Tuesday took us on a weighty journey that began with the deeper, minimal side of Dubstep and later transitioned into some wonkier, grittier sounds that are reminiscent of Ind33p’s earlier styles. Playing out to his crowd, he was able to read the energy of the audience and put on a set that got us nice and warmed up by the time that P0gman was ready to take the stage in his headlining performance.

As the night progressed, this edition of Electronic Tuesdays experienced a very solid turnout as bass heads from a diverse background and age range came out to let loose on the dance floor and welcome P0gman back to the Mile High City. The venue was comprised of both new and familiar faces that eagerly awaited P0gman’s return and they surely weren’t disappointed. Having seen P0gman perform at Sub.mission’s mountain edition of Bass Invasion along with his set at Electronic Tuesdays last year, I knew to buckle up tight and fasten my dancing shoes prior to the bass heavy madness that would be taking place. Hailing all the way from the depths of Wolverhampton, UK, P0gman is a true innovator in today’s underground scene and his aggressive, yet bouncy style captivates audiences and shakes dance floors throughout the globe. From the instant that he took the stage, all the way ‘til the end of his set, P0gman had the entire crowd on their toes and delivered one of the rowdiest performances to date! His upbeat borderline tear-out tunes served as a catalyst to the inevitable moshpits that ensued and adrenaline fueled the entire audience. Flawlessly blending dance floor bangers such as Rusko’s classic ‘Woo Boost’, Dubloadz’ ‘Fight Music’, and P0gman’s very own ‘Pizza’, his set on Tuesday night offered something for bass music lovers of every spectrum to enjoy and when it was all said and done, he only left us wanting more! Along with the identifiable tunes that P0gman rinsed out, there was an extensive list of exclusives presumably from the ‘I.Am.Audio’ imprint that P0gman manages and runs. The bass was hitting hard, the crowd was headbanging, and P0gman sure made a statement in his Denver return!

Closing out the night it was now time for Sub.mission resident Sektah to send us off in style. Coming in fresh off a performance in Houston, Texas, for the ‘Villainz’ crew only a few days before, Sektah brought the heat on Tuesday night and reminded us what he’s all about! No stranger to Cervantes’ Other Side, Sektah has emerged to become a local favorite at Electronic Tuesdays and the late night crowd was in for a treat as he closed out the show with a bang! His signature, bouncy style is truly contagious and spread throughout the entire crowd like a wildfire. Chopping up the decks and double-dropping tunes to ignite the dance floor is what Sektah specializes in and on Tuesday night he made that very clear. Whenever he’s live in the mix, you already know it’s about to go down and I couldn’t picture a better talent to close out this night other than Sektah. If you were feelin’ the vibes during his set on Tuesday night, be sure to catch him closing out the night following Thelem’s headlining set on Tuesday, April 12!
