This Tuesday the 18th, Sub.Mission welcomes back the jazzy dubstep flavors of Silkie as he returns to the Mile High City for another night of funky beats. Silkie is no stranger to the dubstep scene, with releases dating back to 2003, he has been crafting unique, uplifting beats for over a decade. With two albums and a slew of releases on the beloved Deep Medi label, Denver should be ready for lush, groovy bass.
Already boasting an expansive back catalogue of musically sound releases, Silkie recently dropped his third album in the form of his Fractals LP released on Distal’s new sci-fi inspired label, Anarchostar. Featuring ridiculously psychedelic artwork and a heady, futuristic backstory, Silkie remains true to his sound while experimenting more with different styles and arrangements. The album is a perfect dancefloor medley of 80’s synths, sparkling melodies, and subtle skankers. And while the album oozes with funk and soul, there is no shortage of bass to appease the eager ears of Electronic Tuesday soldiers.
After an epic set from Swindle a few weeks ago, Silkie is sure to keep the jazzy, groovy vibes of late summer rolling in Denver.
