On September 22, Denver welcomes UK electronic producer Mumdance for Electronic Tuesdays at Cervantes Otherside.  At the forefront of an extremely forward thinking grime scene, you may have heard of him through his many European festival appearances or his monthly Rinse FM show.  Sharing the stage with fellow producers such as Pinch, Logos, and Rabit, he is one of the hottest names in UK dance music at the moment.

In a former life, he made a living making electro-house, touring the world for Diplo’s Mad Decent label. Eventually, he found the light in grime and seemingly turned a corner in his approach to music. Finding a home on Pinch’s mighty Tectonic, he also has releases on Keysound and XL Recordings along with his FabricLive mix which came out earlier this year.

While his mixes span across a spectrum of genres and vibes, his productions explore empty space and subtle grooves amidst shuffly, chaotic grime. I can honestly say Mumdance plays some of the weirdest music I’ve ever heard. As he rolls out a selection of tunes which pay respect to the old-school rave era in the form of raw jungle and angsty hardcore adaptations, he mixes up the pace with spacious progressions of industrial analog porn, displaying his expertise in true sonic witchcraft. With the rising popularity of grime music both abroad and here in Denver, this show is sure to be one to remember as the UK legend teaches us what dance music is all about.
