Well Sub.massive, it was a great summer and I guess with October here we can finally bid the summer farewell. Im sure we’re all still riding high off the vibes of Bass Invasion and September E Tuesdays however here in Denver we go hard and as you know Sub.mission doesn’t sleep when I comes to bringing you top shelf bass music. So before you can get what little rest you can, brace yourself for this edition of This Month In Bass.
First off let’s talk E Tuesdays. We start with the September E Tuesday Battle Winners round between Counterfeit Rainbow, Rukus, DiS_1 & Gangsterish. If you saw any of these four during the battle then you know this one is going to be intense. Everyone has a unique style and track selection to bring to the table and it is without a doubt going to be one of the closest battles of the year. Afterwards we have the sounds of Subliminal, Unicorn Fukr & the one and only AxH, who is most definately going smash The Otherside into pieces. E Tuesdays doesn’t stop there though. In the following weeks we have Shiverz & Shack D coming through on the Chop City Tour with support by Mile High Club bad man Sektah. Compa makes his return to Denver with support from Dillard and Recon homies Gorteks and we finish off Electronic Tuesdays October with our annual E Tuesday Pre-Halloween party, this time with Bogtrotter and Grimblee vs Hecka with all of the Sub.mission residents doing a back 2 back set on support. On top of all that we have Mohntee, Bossilator, Xkape, Britches, Siren, Synchronicity, Aviatrix, Jang, G-Zis, Goldyloxx, Quintic Calabi & Universal Knowledge going head to head for a slot in the October E Tuesday winners round battle. I think its safe to say the October E Tuesdays’ is STACKED with talent. Make sure you’re there early to catch all the action
Next up we have the return of G Jones, The Widdler and the Denver debut of Sayer @ Cervantes on October 16th. If you missed G Jones @ Fusion Factory and The Widdler @ The Rooftop Sessions then here’s your chance to redeem yourself and get down to some properly weird beats in the ballroom. Each one of these artists is seriously talented and brings with them their own unique style and sound to showcase. G Jones is going to keep you bouncing with elbows up while The Widdler takes you on a magical bass music carpet ride and Sayer is about to prove to Denver that he is a serious force to be reckoned with. Prepare yourself Denver and make sure you get a ticket because this show is is definitely not one to sleep on!
The day after we have the 10th Annual Denver Zombie Crawl and Sub.mission will be posted up @ Skyline Park providing proper beats for all the undead and undead slayers. Following the Zombie Crawl Sub.mission residents CurlyOne and Subliminal will be taking control of the decks alongside SpydaTEK, Simone , Manos & Xenology @ The 6th Annual STAY ALIVE "The Official Denver Zombie Crawl After Party". Its sure to be a great way to end a fun day of zombie cos play.
The following Thursday the mighty Nightmares On Wax returns to Cervantes with the legendary Peanut Butter Wolf on support. These two legendary turntablists should need no introduction but in case you don’t know let me just say this, Nightmares On Wax’s set on Valentine’s Day was one of the best well rounded sets of music I’ve seen in a very long time. This man knows his music and between his own tunes and what he’s going to be selecting for us the only thing you need to know is that he’s going to create a vibe on the dance floor that can’t be replicated. That’s not all though, the one and only Peanut Butter Wolf is also gracing the decks that night and I promise you that this legendary selector is going to blow your mind. Having being affiliated with labels such as Upstairs Records, Hollywood BASIC and the legendary Stones Throw Records there truly is no telling where he could go. Add that with a proper CurlyOne set and we’re all in for a very intimate night of music, definitely a date worthy show *hint hint*. Get your tickets now!
Last but most definitely not least we have the October Final Fridays Hallows Eve party with Goth Trad, Nomine, Crix Siaz, Caustik and Gunmshoe. Riding high off the vibes of all the Final Friday’s events this year, Sub.mission brings you a seriously intimate event with two of dubstep’s best and most talented headlining acts. Hailing from Japan and freely playing samplers, keyboards and even self-made instruments, ‘The Sound Originator’, Goth-Trad, returns to Denver to bring you remarkable bass music with a very abstract approach. This will also be Nomine’s Denver debut as he’s on his Tempa album release tour. He's only state side for the weekend AND he's about to lay down a 2 HOUR set for you! Both are no strangers to the sound system culture and they’re about to rock The Fusion Factory to its core as we will be debuting the new Bass Couch sound system. We have New Mexico rude boy Crix Siaz and local bad men Causitk & Gumshoe on support as well! Make sure your Halloween costumes are on point because I promise everyone is going to seriously bring their A game for this one.

October is definitely looking massive with local, national and international talent just itching to show the Denver bass music community what they all have. I really hope you got enough rest after Bass Invasion and Midnight Tyrannosaurus because October is coming at you full force and each night is filled to the brim with talent just waiting to feed you the vibe you crave.
