2015 was such an awesome year for dubstep in Denver. From a series of warehouse parties to a constantly stacked E Tuesday line up to Rooftop Parties to very intimate one off’s and a new monthly with the underground bass tribes of the Mile High City, Sub.mission has gone above and beyond to “Hustle Knowledge” to the Denver massive. With events that are pulling together dubsteppers both new and old from this generation and the last, the Denver Dubstep scene is stronger than ever and Sub.mission has chosen to finish off 2015 with a seriously stacked line up of talent that will be gracing the “Queen City of The West” throughout December. I hope you’re ready because here comes this edition of “This Month In Bass”.


The Electronic Tuesday’s December lineup is absolutely ridiculous. We start off with the Denver Debut of West Midlands bad man Ponicz along with Sub.mission resident Sektah and the battle between Titan & Zonra for the November winners Showcase. Week two is the return of M.U.D. (Macbre Unit Digital) heavy hitter Biome along with grime master SK!tz Beatz and Binary. Afterwards Chestplate Records returns to E-Tuesdays in the form of Leon Switch along with the sub frequency styling’s of Dillard and Astra. The Annual Sub.mission Holiday Party is about to shut down Five Points when Sub.mission Residents and extended family The Toddfatha, FR0Z+WR3CK, CurlyOne, Thanom, Myxed Up, Ind33p, Sin 7 and Subliminal all go back to back and Subway Music rude boy Supreme takes over The Otherside. Last but definitely not least is the Pre New Years Eve party with Truth AND Megalodon playing both separate and back to back sets alongside Sub.mission Resident Swayd and DiS_1 on support. The final E-Tuesday line up of 2015 is seriously out of control. By now we all know that Tuesday is the new Friday so make sure you have what you need to get through ”FML” Wednesday because none of these nights are going to be slept on.



Moving forward, the latest in Denver bass tribe news is Sub.mission has partnered with Recon and Language to bring you Standard Saturdays, a place for bass, @ Bar Standard. If you went to any of the inaugural Standard Saturday events in November then you already know how amazing these new nights are. Those that have been in Denver for a while we’re talking about how reminiscent of the “Sutra” days theses events are because of how amazing the vibes are. If you missed them don’t worry, Sub.mission has TWO nights of bass music coming in hot for you every month. We start off with the second Saturday in December when  Fayetteville bad boy Purp Loder, who is going to seriously make you go elbows up, along with Denver favorite RumbleJunkie & ABM homie Sin 7 take over the dance to bring some serious BOUNCE to the SoCo district. This one is free before 10pm and $5 at the door. Secondly we have our  Standard Saturdays White Elephant Party with Dillard b2b Shoebox, CurlyOne b2b Mikey Fisher, Omega b2b RumbleJunkie and Trisicloplox b2b DMVU!! We will be hosting a White Elephant gift exchange at 11pm, therefore entry is FREE with a wrapped gift up until 10pm, otherwise its $5. We'll all have family in town so we should bring them and show them what the Denver Dubstep scene is all about ;)



We finish off 2015 with another gathering of Denver bass tribes to ring in 2016. Join us at The Walnut Room for an intimate send off of 2015 as Sub.mission partners with Recon and The Mile High Sound Movement to bring you the NYE Underground w/ Despise, Subliminal, Nights (live band) w/ Kruza Kid, Sektah vs Swayd, Shoebox, Godlazer, CurlyOne, Atic & Patrick Skyler. This will be a night of strictly underground artists from the Sub.mission, Recon and MHSM camps and there will be plenty of family and pure vibes from wall to wall. Cover for the most proper New Years Eve party for bass heads in Denver is only $10! We couldn’t think of a better way to end such a massive year for bass music in Denver and we can’t wait to spend it with all of you.

We are all pretty lucky to live in a City that not only loves its music but does so much to support the scenes it represents. 2015 was such a big year for all of us here in Denver and we have the ticket stubs and memories to prove it. We know there isn’t any one of us that regrets going out on a Tuesday, dancing in a warehouse until sunrise or taking a chance and going to see something new at a new venue in a part of town you haven’t been to in a while or ever. We can look back at 2015 with all the memories of all those nights and smile knowing that there is so much more coming for us in 2016. Here’s to dubstep in Denver past, present and future and here’s to you, the Denver Massive, for always coming out and showing your love and support.
