Only a few days remain until the legendary Biome returns to the mile high city for another installment of Electronic Tuesdays at Cervantes. Being one of the most prolific dubstep artists of the UK, it is no surprise this will be his 3rd trip to Denver. If you were fortunate enough to catch his last shows at Beta and the Cervantes Ballroom, you know that this Tuesday will be utter madness.
While Biome emerged at the forefront of the minimal dungeon world, the Manchester producer has had the chance to showcase a variety of his sounds and styles over the past two years. Releasing some music independently, his recent productions have encompassed styles spanning from jazzy, groove-booty dubstep to lyrically doused jungle beats. He also has taken up arms with the Manchester artist collective known as LEVELZ where he works with artists such as Chunky, Chimpo, Dub Phizix, and Fox. No matter what the style, Biome consistently delivers with top tier production and a polished aesthetic that adds a sense of wonder and bewilderment.
Even though he dabbles with other genres and styles, Biome’s calling card still lies in his emotionally packed dubstep bangers. Swirling reeses and growls, accompanied by spacious sub lines and haunting cinematic atmospheres, comprise the signature Biome sound. Casting you into a spiritual abyss of darkness, his often techy and always gangster beats summon the primitive creature within. A handful of the Sub.Mission fam were lucky enough to catch his set at Shambhala Music Festival this year in British Columbia. Biome absolutely ravished the Grove stage in the depth of the night, forcing wooks and ravers alike to bring it on the dancefloor. With Leon Switch just around the corner, the dungeon dwellers of Denver are in paradise for the next week. This one will be chaos.
