If there’s one thing you should know by now, it’s that Sub.mission does not play around when it comes to the holiday season, especially at Electronic Tuesdays. Every year Sub.mission curates some of the sickest lineups to bring about some true holiday cheer and festive spirits and this past Tuesday night at Cervantes’ Other Side was no exception. From beginning to end, the entire night’s roster was completely stacked with talent featuring back-to-back performances from some of the fiercest DJ’s holding it down throughout the Denver dubstep scene, along with a headlining performance from long time extended Sub.mission resident, Supreme! After witnessing Supreme annihilate the dance floor at last year’s holiday party, brining him back for round 2 for another holiday throwdown was a no-brainer. A packed dance floor, hard hitting bass, and some of the purest vibes on the dance floor from both familiar and new faces combined to make this year’s holiday party one of the best we’ve seen yet! Here’s the rewind!
The night began promptly at 9:00pm sharp and selectors Myxed Up and Froztwreck took the stage to set the tone early in the night. Having seen both of these artists perform on various occasions throughout the years, I had my dancing shoes tightly fastened and knew to expect some serious bassweight from the jump! Froztwreck took the decks and came out swinging with massive double drops from some of my favorite artists including Requake, Proxima, Youngsta, Thelem, etc… and he made his presence on the dance floor felt from the very beginning. Myxed Up’s deep and mystical sound offered a good minimal balance to set and the young talent flexed the subwoofers on a more profound level with some reggae influenced sound as well as his own arsenal of original tunes. Be on the lookout for Myxed Up’s banger ‘Protection Dub’ dropping in less than 1 week on Milc Records and be sure to keep your ears open for more certified bangers coming from one of the rawest producers on the Denver Dubstep circuit. Big ups to this duo for setting the tone early in the night and proving once again why it is important to show up early and make your way to the dance floor as soon as doors open.

Next up on the decks it was time for veteran DJ ‘The Toddfatha’ and one of Colorado’s most exciting up-comers ‘Ind33p’ to keep the party going and shift the night into gear. The Toddfatha is an artist with many years of experience as a DJ under his belt and is widely known for his silky smooth mixing abilities and extensive track selection that ranges from underground dubstep all the way to UK grime, and more. Ind33p, on the other hand, is a talent that has been establishing himself throughout the Colorado scene and has been making some serious waves and turning heads with his original productions and memorable performances in throughout the state. Ind33p delivered one of my favorite sets this past summer at the highly esteemed Sonic Bloom Music Festival in June and I couldn’t wait to see him make his return to Electronic Tuesdays for a more intimate performance.
Ind33p and The Toddfatha combined flawlessly and their set demonstrated a solid merging between an old-school veteran that is the Toddfatha, and an upcoming, multi-faceted talent such as Ind33p. Their set amplified the energy in the room and got heads nodding and feet moving on the dance floor.

Following up The Toddfatha & Ind33p in this massive rotation of back-to-back madness, it was now time for Subliminal and Thanom to take the stage and unleash the ruckus on an ever-growing crowd that flooded the dance floor from front to back. When I saw the listing ‘Subliminal b2b Thanom’ on the lineup, I took it as a warning and I knew to buckle up tight because this a truly deadly combination of talents and a true force to be reckoned with. Upon taking the stage, the duo spent zero time messing around and demonstrated what they’re all about- raw, uncut bass music! Subliminal has been holding it down as one of the most exciting talents on the Sub.mission roster of resident DJ’s and is credited as a true Dubstep don in Colorado and far beyond and on Tuesday night he brought the heat yet again! With his headlining birthday performance at the Danksgiving Electronic Tuesdays lats month still fresh in my mind, I was anxiously awaiting badman Thanom to make his Electronic Tuesdays return and see what he had up his sleeves this time around. In case you haven’t been keeping up, Thanom is an artist that has been pressing the boundaries of the underground scene in Denver and he cranks out certified original tunes that shake the dance floor on the regular. Keep a close eye on his Soundcloud account and don’t sleep on the one like Thanom!

Now it was the moment we’d all been waiting for the pandemonium from the crowd anxiously awaited the main event. Brandon Needle, better known as ‘Supreme’ is a long-time Sub.mission resident that has been holding it down in California over the years and to see him make return to the Mile High City a handful of times throughout the year is always a very special treat! To say that I was excited to see Supreme headline this very special night would be a complete understatement. The artist has solidified himself as one of my personal favorite DJ’s and he never disappoints when he’s live in the mix. One of the things that I like most about Supreme is that you never know what to expect and he always keeps you guessing. On Tuesday night he delivered a set packed with old school classics as well as current dance floor bangers ranging from Coki’s ‘Spongebob’ , ‘Night’ , ‘Yasuo (Bukez Finezt VIP) , ‘Hench VIP’, ‘Razzia VIP’ and many more from the Subway Records imprint that Supreme is a member of. From the moment Supreme took the stage, he instigated inevitable moshpits onto a rowdy crowd that couldn’t contain their excitement and I sure don’t blame them. His entire set was packed with hard-hitting bass lines and skull crushing sounds that had the crowd bouncing form beginning t end and by the time his set was finished, he only left us wanting more. Big ups to the one like Supreme for coming through and further solidifying why he is one of my favorite DJ’s and demonstrating his talents behind the decks at this massive holiday throwdown!

Closing out the night we had Sub.mission resident CurlyOne in a back-to-back performance with long time Sub.mission crew member Sin7 live in the mix to close out the night proper and keep the vibe in the room going strong ‘til the very end. The 2 artist combined forces to deliver a set packed with that classic underground dubstep style that perfectly embodies the Sub.mission flavor. Sin 7 recently performed at the most recent edition of #StandardSaturdays at Bar Standard and his set was definitely one for the books! CurlyOne has been setting the standard as one of the most well-rounded and knowledgeable DJ’s on the Sub.mission roster of residents and on Tuesday night they joined forces flawlessly.
