Sub.mission Agency artist CRIMES! prides himself on making forward-thinking music without being tethered down by genres and easy descriptions.  This is abundantly clear on "Krystal" - his new collaborative single with Atlanta-based Dark Dred.  The track cherrypicks the best elements of several genres.  Glacial-synth patches reminiscent of contemporary grime slice through jazzy horn samples.  The sliced up jazz samples - along with the syncopated drum pattern - are an inventive take on Chicago footwork and juke.  Haunting vocal samples and familiar 808 hi-hat skitters tie it all together as a massive and mesmerizing tune.
